Newton Ferrers Equus
Newton Ferrers Equus was established in 1987 by farmer and entrepreneur Roger Harris. It soon grew into a thriving riding school and livery yard. The centre is situated on farm land in a beautiful part of The South Hams, not far from Plymouth, Devon. The farm is still active agriculturally, but over the years more and more space has been handed over to the school and livery.
The centre caters for riders of all ages and abilities with BHS or ABRS qualified instructors.
Hacks are taken around the perimeter of the farm which takes in panoramic views of Dartmoor and provides access to several woodland trails. A jump cross course also passes through areas of farm, and is often used for competitions.
Newton Ferrers Equus is British Horse Society approved Livery Yard. The yard has high quality facilities catering for all types of horses and ponies. Livery owners are given discounts on lessons and events.
The stables are situated in the main farm area and has two car parks and several indoor and outdoor arenas.
