Biography

Having started riding at the age of 18 months, Gemma Tattersall is a rising star of eventing. Her mother had a riding school and Gemma proved to be a natural from the start. By the time she was 8 had won the riding club junior (U17) dressage championship and her first one day event!

 

In 2007 Gemma made her first serious foray into senior level eventing by completing both Badminton and Burghley which are the two biggest and most prestigious 3 day events in the country. Since then she has been working hard to produce good results with her team of horses, culminating in her becoming the U25 National Champion in 2010.

 

Gemma is based at the purpose built yard of Tattleton Stud in Horsham. Having relocated in 2009 from her mother’s yard. She trains with Yogi Breisner and British dressage rider Andrew Gould.

 

 

Awards

2005 and 2006 Young Rider team gold medals

 

 

Fun Facts

Competed for Team GB in Rio 2016 in Equestrian Eventing Individual, and Equestrian Eventing Team.

 

Her two heroes are British rider Pippa Funnell and German rider Michael Jung.
