Kitty King is an Olympic International event rider. Her first riding experience came at only a few weeks olds, when she sat on a horse! Kitty’s mother, Jane Boggis competed in eventing and completed the Badminton and Burghley three-day events in England. Her husband, Ben King, is an ex-National hunt jockey.
She is the first event rider to have represented Team GB at all levels: Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior teams and is the only one to have won medals at all levels.
In 2015, King was ranked 9th in the FEI World Rankings. She finished the year 4th in the North Western Europe zone, the highest placed female rider in Britain. Also in 2015, She finished the British Eventing season in 12th position.
Kitty believes in treating her horses as individuals and therefore restricts the amount she works with. by doing this, she is able to school all the horses herself. This allows Kitty to build a close partnership with each horse which is paramount in getting the very best out of them when competing.
2015 Silver team medal win European Championships at Blair
Competed for Team GB in Rio 2016 in Equestrian Eventing Individual, and Equestrian Eventing Team.
Kitty’s yard is a converted 100-acre chicken farm in Wiltshire.
Her two sisters run a café and deli in Kingsbridge, South Devon.
