Alton Piece

Set in the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside near to the Wyre Forest, Alton Piece is a small, family run riding school.

The school offers private and small group lessons for adults and children aged 5 and upwards using BHS qualified instructors. All of the horses and ponies are carefully selected for their temperament and personality; they are well mannered and schooled to a high standard.

Alton Piece caters for all abilities. From the complete beginner to the more advanced riders who want to focus on their favourite discipline such as dressage, show jumping and course riding. Adult private lessons are available on weekday mornings for total beginners, rusty riders or those who want to advance their riding skills – all ages welcome!

Also the riding school caters for riders with disabilities or special requirements. Riders benefit from a range of different experiences including hacking in the local countryside on quiet country lanes and bridleways. During the school holidays, all-day courses are available. These days enable children to learn stable management and horsemanship whilst having fun and meeting new friends. Pony care days include riding, stable management, games and lots of fun!

Alton Piece’s excellent facilities including a 20m x 40m sand ménage.
