Bassingfield Riding School, Livery & Saddlery, conveniently situated close to Nottingham, is a family run business with over 60 years of experience. It was established in 1954 by Shirley Thomas (née Owen) who continues to play a significant role in the business today.
The riding school has a wide range of well schooled horses. Riding lessons are available for beginners up to advanced riders. There is a range of riding school horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities.
NVQ training and training for stable management and equitation examinations is available. ABRS examinations for riding school customers and liveries can be taken at Bassingfield over the summer.
Bassingfield offers livery on a DIY, Grass, Part or Full basis. Liveries have access to over 50 acres of land, quality facilities, regular events and competitions. Locally, on site and fantastic hacking routes, livery packages can be tailored to suit you and your horse’s requirements.
The on site well-equipped tack shop, includes a made to measure saddle fitting service and specialist advice on kitting out for the show ring will cater for all your riding needs.
