Groes Farm Stables
Established 1987, Groes Farm Stables is a BHS (British Horse Society) Approved family run business, with the equine yard run by mother and daughter, Mary and Jane. With the 200 acre arable farm, run by husband Richard. The farm supplies most of the straw and haylage for the stables.
The yard being situated in the beautiful Heritage Coast of the Vale of Glamorgan, boasts some of the best hacking possible. Access to the beach and sand dunes is possible without having to ride on any busy roads. The farm is also located on the edge of 900 acres of Common Land which is riddled with bridle paths.
DIY, part and full livery is available. Also grazing only. Groes has 2 BHS AI’s, working full time on the yard and are available for most equestrian services as well as teaching you on your own horse in the indoor school.
The farmhouse is situated on the yard which gives the stables the security of 24 hour supervision. Ice cool drinks and chocolate bars are available from the Tuck Shop and is as popular with the adults, as it is with the children!
