Kim’s Equestrian

Kim’s Equestrian is well placed to offer safe and good horse riding in the beautiful Hertfordshire Countryside. Easily accessible from St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas.

Kim Slater has been teaching people to ride since 1984. Kim is assisted by her girls (Pixies) who are all trained for, and expected to pass, their Bronze Award, which is based on the relevant British Horse Society Standards. Training for the in-house Bronze Award takes place on one day during School Holidays. The centre is fully insured and licensed by St Albans District Council.

Riding and Jumping Lessons are available all year round for all ages and abilities on Saturdays and Sundays, with some lessons available during the week. Half hour lessons are available for young Beginners only. Adult Hacks for a minimum of two riders can be arranged during the week during Term Time and the School Holidays. These are for a minimum of one hour, but can be longer by arrangement. The centre now offers lessons for Under 5s on a Saturday Morning. All lessons take place in the outdoor school.

The stables are located in Westwick Row, a quiet country lane between St Albans and Leverstock Green, which is easily accessible via the Hemel Hempstead Road. Surrounded by open countryside, the hacking track around the fields and woodland adjacent to the centre provides a safe riding environment for riders of all ages and abilities.
