Overdale Equestrian Centre
Overdale Equestrian Centre, is an International Centre of Excellence for Rider Biomechanics, based in Chipping Norton, Oxford.
The centre’s sole aim is to improve the performance of the rider, so they can be safe, competent and confident and that in turn they can be the best they can be to make it easy for the horse to carry them and to perform to the best ability of that partnership, whether just starting riding or competing at higher levels. With a unique approach, which is to explore and understand how control of the riders’ body influences the horse and find the most appropriate piece(s) of language and feelings for the individual rider on that day. To provide bite sized pieces the rider can recognise and take away to practise.
Lessons at Overdale are mostly private and taught by Karin Major, a BHSAI and is an accredited Ride With Your Mind Coach, or one of her assistants. The focus of attention is on the rider, as an individual. Many pupils who have tried and failed to make progress elsewhere are amazed by the results in such a short space of time at Overdale. There is also the option to study with Overdale Equestrian Centre for ABRS Stable Management & Riding Tests.
Overdale Equestrian Centre general ethos is to ensure a calm, friendly environment where horses and clients needs are paramount. Livery clients benefit from the use of all the facilities on the yard. Facilities include a Covered arena 22m x 67m, Outdoor arena 20m x 20m, indoor and outdoor stables, solarium and show jumps.
