Oxnead Equestrian Centre Limited

Oxnead Equestrian Centre was opened in November 2011 it is now a thriving Centre with ever improving facilities. Run by Graham Camplin-Smith BSc UKCC2, an equestrian professional with over twenty years of experience. The yard includes indoor and floodlit outdoor arenas, round pen, large well ventilated stables and outstanding off road hacking. Show Jumps are available and there are regular trips to nearby Thetford Forest and Holkham Beach.

Oxnead aims to keep up to date with technology,  even poo-picking is done mechanically! Scoops and wheelbarrows are a thing of the past here. Walking round the Yard, one can see that all the stables are larger than the average and the tack and feed rooms are well appointed. The horses, all in individual paddocks which are grazed in rotation so that the grass can be looked after, are in beautiful condition. The latest addition is the Solarium over the heated horse shower.

Help is on hand with schooling and exercising available, as well as lessons, either from Graham or from a number of visiting instructors. The horses benefit from all year turnout, heated horse shower, solarium, routine Vet, Dentist and Farrier visits. And the level of service can be tailored to meet the individual needs both of horse and owner, thus making horse ownership easier, more convenient and less stressful.

Oxnead’s Director, Graham Camplin-Smith, was born in Belgium but grew up in Buckinghamshire. He had his first riding lesson at the age of seven and says that he is still learning: in fact he has Dressage lessons from Tessa Fielder and Eventing lessons from Lucinda Green. Growing up Graham spent all his after school time and holidays working at the local riding stables where he learned a lot about stable management, tractor driving and spent time as groom to International Eventer Clare Brazil. He graduated with a BSc from Writtle College. His first job was schooling young horses before joining the teaching staff at Berkshire College which he represented at Show Jumping and Eventing. Graham has competed at Dressage, Eventing, Show Jumping and Showing. He has trained and prepared youngstock for Sport Horse Sales, worked with the Pony Club and has been involved in the design of the cross country course at Burghley Horse Trials.
