Poppyfield Equestrian
Poppyfield Equestrian, based in Lincoln, was established in 1996 by Simon Kettleboro and his Daughter Jo Kettleboro (now Morton). Jo had long been a keen rider and she together with her father wanted to provide less fortunate children. She was determined that this should not be a pastime available to only those with available funds, but to those with passion, drive and enthusiasm, and so Poppyfield came into existence.
Poppyfield is BHS (British Horse Society) Approved, which means that they are regularly inspected and has to perform to very high standards. It is also an Approved Pony Club Centre which regularly runs activity days and courses for the children, such as ‘Own a Pony’ Days, Examination Days and many fun activities throughout the year.
Instructors at Poppyfield Equestrian responsible for training are qualified members of the BHS and must stay up-to-date with current standards by attending seminars and conferences. Fantastic hacking/ treks in the beautiful countryside is offered in addition to standard indoor school lessons. Poppyfield Equestrian has on offer BHS Badge Days, multiple levels of Horse Livery, Horse riding lessons, many levels of horse training and an on site Poppyfields Shop.
