Summerhouse Equestrian and Training Centre

Summerhouse Equestrian and Training Centre is a professional, friendly, family owned business set up in 1978 by Sheila and John Weston and run by their daughter, Helen Gallop & granddaughter, Sara Gallop. The centre is based in Hardwicke, Gloucester, which allows for easy access from Bath, Bristol, West Midland, amongst other towns and cities.

 

Helen holds the BHSI, is a BS course builder, a BHS examiner, an internal and external verifier and a Pony Club Examiner. Sara is an International Dressage Rider & holds both regional and national titles. Sara is also the founder of Prestige Training and is a qualified BHSII & BS course builder.

 

Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced rider, Summerhouse Equestrian has the horses to suit you.  The centre can also loan horses, which is a  great way of having the experience of your own horse without the expense.

 

Summerhouse’ Pony Club for children, give kids without ponies the chance to earn badges and awards, while learning about horse riding and care. In addition to the regular pony club, summer camps, birthday and mini pony parties always proof to be popular. The yard is home to 50 horses – ranging from Barbie, a 26 inch miniature pony to Saab,  a 17.3hh Shire Cross and Vince a 17.1hh Dutch Warmblood who is a Grand Prix dressage schoolmasters.

 

Summerhouse Equestrian and Training Centre’s impressive facilities include an 80m x 52m Olympic Arena,  60m x 40m Arena, 2 Cross Country Schooling Paddocks  and 2 Lecture Rooms.
