Tanglewood Equestrian Centre
Tanglewood Equestrian Centre is a riding school with a difference. The small and friendly school offers good quality instruction with trained instructors in reasonably sized groups. The emphasis is on having fun in a safe environment. The maximum group size for children is 7 and for adults Jumping it is 4 people.
The school offers instruction in flatwork, showjumping, an introduction to cross country as well as lunge lessons and in-hand work. Sally Thompson has owned and taught at Tanglewood for 21 years and is happy to teach all levels of ability. She is a BHSAI(IT) with 30 years teaching and competition experience who specialises in training people to compete in BSJA showjumping. Sally is continuing her training with Mario de Mendoca.
There is a wide range of horses and ponies to suit all abilities from the very nervous to the more experienced.
Throughout the year, a wide range of activities are offered to suit riders of all ages and abilities including own-a-pony day, kidz club, dressage competitions and pony weeks and much more.
Tanglewood Equestrian also offers a part and working livery service.
