Dickey Steps Riding School
Dickey Steps Riding School was established in 1979 by Frank and Kathleen Mills and their Daughter Stephanie with the purpose of providing recreational and educational facilities for people wanting to ride horses no matter what their experience or ability.
Dickey Steps is set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside on the door step of Hollingworth Lake Country Park and is still a family run business.
With horses and ponies to suite all capabilities ranging from beginners to the accomplished for riders from age 4 upwards. Lessons to improve horse riding technique, Cross Country, British Horse Society examinations and stable management are offered.
In addition to a privately owned cross country area Dickey Steps Riding School has an ‘all weather’ outdoor floodlit ménage.
Livery and overnight stabling is available for horse and riders accessing Pennine bridleways such as the Mary Townley loop.
