Penshaw Equestrian Centre
Established in 1978, Penshaw Equestrian Centre is situated at the foot of Penshaw Monument and is a British Horse Society approved centre.
The School has a large variety of school horses available for complete beginners up to competent riders. Riders with their own horses are also welcome. Riding tuition for riders at all levels is available from tiny tots (age 2 1/2) to riders wishing to do their BHS Examinations.The team of instructors range from student teachers to BHSII.
In addition to riding lesson, there is instruction in all aspects of horse care from in-house courses, Riding and Road Safety courses and Riding Holidays. Penshaw Equestrian Centre is a Pony Club and British Riding Club Centre.
A full livery service is offered and horses are taken for breaking and schooling.
There is a regular program of competitions in a range of disciplines including show-jumping, dressage, showing, show-cross and one day events.
